50cm x 110cm x 3,5cm, Earth on a free jute
After a period of reworking the events of 2018, I discovered a frame without a support plate, which I covered with jute and covered (partially) with earth. So a picture has grown that shows me a dream of which I have heard my mother tell. Depending on the background, a different emphasis and contrast arises.

This year, for the first time, I organized a meeting with my family. Now I start to realize what a great gift I have made myself with it. I start to understand how life works - with and without my intervention. I begin to understand how the moments of cognition are in which there is nothing left to do but to observe and I begin to understand how important trust in life and in oneself is, where I can already trust and where else Not. In this picture the big barriers of life symbolically appear - powerful, challenging, beautiful and lively. So I would declare the title "OZEKI". The earths are from Marocco, Sardinia and France.

I needed a lot of time for "Thanatos" - with many breaks. At the end of the completion three storks appeared in front of our window at the church tower. Two of them have tried to build a nest on a far too small lead. With the appearance of the two storks, the picture has become just as it is now. I am amazed at the naturalness with which the two storks remain in their place, where only by a miracle can they create a suitable nest.

37cm x 58cm x 5cm, Earth on jute, varm gryte
The title in Norwegian sounds best in my ears. I wanted to show my connection with Sardinia, also because I was often on this beautiful island, also because I have the most earth for my pictures of her, also because I am grateful to her and her people and indeed she is like a hot pot, in which I feel alive and secure - thank you!
